The Hindmarsh Shire Council has prepared a Municipal Fire Management Plan (MFMP) in conjunction with the Country Fire Authority (CFA) and pursuant to section 55A of the Country Fire Authority Act 1958. The Hindmarsh Shire Council MFMP is an integrated document combining plans from the municipality, the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE), Country Fire Authority (CFA), VicRoads and other key stakeholders.


Understanding Bushfire Warnings (DEPI) describes the warning system used during fire. The following websites contain comprehensive information on how to determine if you are at risk and prepare yourself, your family and business for a fire.
