| Introduction | | Hindmarsh Shire Council provides the following services through the Home and Community Care Program - Assessment, General Home Care, Respite Care, Personal Care, Home Maintenance and Meals on Wheels. These programs support frail older people, carers and people with a disability to remain living at home and be part of their local community.
Eligibility for services is determined following an assessment. A fee is charged for services, according to level of income and also taking into account household circumstances.
We also fund senior citizens centres across the Shire and provide a community transport service in Nhill.
