Hindmarsh Shire Council supports and encourages a vibrant community life, endeavouring to ensure that the entire community enjoys access to active, creative and often innovative activities, experiences and programs.

Our Shire's lifestyle is complemented by the great outdoors - its breathtaking national parks and beautiful lakes. But it also has a thriving arts community with creative and performing artists, the Play Dimboola, the Piggery Lane Players, the Nhill Community Memorial Centre and the Nhill Arts Council. A great number of community groups and sporting clubs ensure every member of our communities can actively participate in community life throughout the year.

For more information on recreation and cultural opportunities in the Shire of Hindmarsh please contact the Hindmarsh Visitor Information Centre, Goldsworthy Park, Nhill, Ph: 03 5391 3086.
