Personal care provides assistance with personal and hygiene tasks, such as showering and dressing, which residents are finding difficult to manage on their own.

The service is provided by qualified staff who follow a service handover plan for personal care that has been developed and agreed to by you in consultation with either District nursing staff or Councilís Living at Home Assessment Officer.

Costs
Fees are based on an hourly rate in accordance with your annual income

How to apply
Anyone can apply by making a referral for the service, including yourself, a relative or friend, a nurse, a general practitioner or another service provider.

Councilís Living at Home Assessment Officer will arrange a convenient time to visit you at home to discuss the service and obtain necessary information.

You may have someone with you during this visit if you wish; perhaps a family member or friend.
