| Following a recent change in staffing at the Jeparit Customer Service Centre, Council has a reviewed the levels of customer transactions at both Jeparit and Rainbow Customer Service Centres. Consequently, at its December meeting Council resolved to alter the hours of operation of the Customer Service Centres at Jeparit and Rainbow.
Staff at the Jeparit and Rainbow offices have been keeping statistics on the number of customers using the offices, and these showed that numbers were insufficient to keep the Jeparit office open for three and a half days per week. Campbell McKenzie, Manager of Finance and Customer Services said.
The days of operation were also considered, and it was determined that an alteration to the days would also be beneficial to the Rainbow and Jeparit communities as well as to the Council for banking purposes. he noted.
The revised days and opening hours are as follows:
Jeparit
Monday - 8.30am to 5.00pm
Tuesday - Closed
Wednesday - 1.30pm to 5.00pm
Thursday - Closed
Friday - Closed
Rainbow
Monday - Closed
Tuesday - Closed
Wednesday - 8.30am to 12.30pm
Thursday - Closed
Friday - 8.30am to 5.00pm
These alterations will commence on Friday 2 January 2009.
The Council provides numerous services at these offices, such as receipting of monies for rates, accounts, animal registrations and other matters, some VicRoads functions and Home Care roster collection, to name a few. There will be no alteration to the services conducted at the offices.
