Council provides many community services to the residents of Hindmarsh Shire, including:
With a community that commits to one of the highest rates of volunteering in Victoria, Hindmarsh Shire enjoys a proud tradition of 'helping out'.
Whether it is a local Sporting or Service Club, the local Town Committee, Meals on Wheels or another Community based group, volunteering is a great way to meet people and make friends whilst at the same time helping to make a difference where you live.
It doesn’t matter whether volunteers have a little or a lot of time to spare, they are able to commit to providing as little or as much support as their schedule allows. Volunteers also get to choose where and how they volunteer so you can find an area of interest and start helping out locally.
