Jade Hurley - To perform at Hindmarsh Seniors Country Concert
Hindmarsh Shire Council is excited to announce that legendary Australian singer, musician Jade Hurley O.A.M. will be performing at this year’s Seniors Concert as part of the Victorian Seniors Festival.
The theme of the October long, 2018 Victorian Seniors Festival is – ‘Get Social’ which will enable seniors across Victoria with many opportunities to attend celebrations and events to help celebrate communities and the rich array of social, cultural, educational and healthy living activities they offer.
Hindmarsh Shire Council is pleased to be supporting the Seniors Festival again in 2018 and on behalf of Council, we would like to extend an invitation to all our seniors to come together and enjoy the celebrations.
If you are over 60 it’s time for you to get out and celebrate with good food and company at a fabulous social event by embracing the theme ‘Get Social’ - so we encourage you to do just that.
Seniors from across Hindmarsh Shire will have the opportunity to attend and participate in this special social event which will be held at the Nhill Memorial Community Centre on Wednesday 24 October 2018 commencing at 11.00am.
We are very excited to have an entertainer of the caliber of Jade Hurley performing in Hindmarsh. He is probably best remembered for his regular appearances on The Mike Walsh Show during the 70's and early 80's with his Golden Oldens music segment where his performances were mostly classic covers - from the 50's and 60's rock-n-roll and country music genres.
