PICK MY PROJECT

Community groups across Hindmarsh Shire Council have submitted 11 projects that have been endorsed to proceed to the community based voting process of the Victorian Governments Pick My Projects program.

The Pick My Project is a Victorian first community grants initiative and will rely on the local community to vote for their three favourite projects.

Projects that receive the most votes will then be eligible to receive funding.

The following is a brief description of the 11 projects (in order by project title) that have been submitted across Hindmarsh Shire.

Bringing the Silo Art Trail to Albacutya Silo, Rainbow

Australia’s largest outdoor gallery extends to Hindmarsh Shire

Davis Park Grandstand Refurbishment, Nhill

Refurbishment of the historic spectator grandstand at Davis Park, Nhill

Dimboola Recreation Reserve – Community Multi-Use Facility, Dimboola

Construction of a multi-use hard stand within the Dimboola Recreation Reserve

‘Dreams of Flight’ Silo Art, Nhill

Celebrating the 100 year anniversary of aviation in Nhill

Jaypex Park, Nhill – Power and Safety Improvements

Installation of underground power and roadside fencing to increase safety

Nhill Big Green Re Use Shed, Nhill

Build a Shed at the Tip to recycle used goods

Nine Creeks Walking Track Pedestrian Bridge, Dimboola

Construction of a creek crossing pedestrian bridge for walking tracks

Open Community Arts & Reflection Space, Dimboola

A community space for connection, reflection and culture

Rainbow’s Oasis Outdoor Camp Kitchen, Rainbow

Create an outdoor kitchen with sheltered seating at the Oasis

Riverview Tourist and Community Camp Kitchen, Jeparit

Build a Community Camp Kitchen beside the Wimmera River

Showground Arena surface and irrigation upgrade, Nhill

Showground arena upgrade with resurfacing and installation of an irrigation system
