Hindmarsh Shire Council and West Wimmera Health Service are collaborating to celebrate the diversity in Hindmarsh for Cultural Diversity Week for 2019. The theme for this year is ‘Proud to Belong - Your Generation, Your Story”. Community members were invited to submit their stories as part of this year’s celebration.
As a community we embrace and celebrate sharing our beautiful part of the world with so many people who have chosen to call Hindmarsh Shire home. The stories that have been shared by locals showcase the uniqueness and strength of the community.
Congratulate and thank you to Nan Da San Bleh Dah, Ana Lowe, Ginty Thomson, Rhys Webb, Venetia Kardogeros, Winda Dewi, Michelle Woodward, John Millington and Gagandeep (Shelly) Kaur for sharing their stories. The stories of all of the participants will be shared on the Hindmarsh Shire Council and West Wimmera Health Service Facebook pages each day over the course of Cultural Diversity Week as well as our Websites.
For more information on this project please contact Michelle Farinha, community development officer, via email@example.com or Casey Hiscock, refugee community health nurse, via firstname.lastname@example.org.
