Hindmarsh Shire Libraries, in collaboration with Public Libraries Victoria, are thrilled to once again be participating in the Warm Winter Read program for 2026! Warm Winter Read is all about encouraging adult readers (16+) to develop long-lasting reading habits and prioritise reading this winter.

As the weather cools down and the days start getting shorter, there’s nothing cozier than curling up with a good book. Whether that being listening to an eAudiobook, scanning a graphic novel, flicking through your favourite magazine, or settling in with your favourite novel, reading can come in many forms, and is so good for you! There is a lot of ways to increase the amount you read; consider an eAudiobook while you’re doing the dishes or sneaking in a quick chapter – or 5! – before nodding off for the night.

The Warm Winter Reads program runs from 01 June – 31 August 2026. Readers that sign up to the program will be able to track their reading habits throughout the program, as well as rate and review books. There are enticing prizes available to those who register, ranging from various book bundles to a Kobo eReader!

You can join the Warm Winter Reads program at https://readbooks.com.au/wwr, or visit the Hindmarsh Shire Libraries located in Nhill, Dimboola, Rainbow and Jeparit to find out more about how to be a part of this exciting initiative or maybe find your new favourite book.

There will be more information published on the Hindmarsh Shire Libraries Facebook and Instagram, so follow these pages to stay up to date with all things Libraries.
