Upcoming Events

Rainbow and District Landcare Group will be holding a planting day on Saturday 16 August 2025 (postponed from 26 July 2025) at the Rainbow Rises site (located 2km west of Rainbow).

If you would like to put your hand up to volunteer and assist with planting 2,500 plants, all are welcome to come along to help out. Please register by contacting Bernard Young, Secretary, on 0417 236 840.

This year’s Children’s Book Week celebration will run from Saturday 16 to Saturday 23 August with the theme ‘Book an Adventure!’

Hindmarsh Shire Libraries and Early Years teams are celebrating Book Week in our library spaces and with our playgroup families.
This year, join the fun with us - dress up, bring your favourite book to share with the group, and dive into some book week activities.

Adoption of Road Management Plan 2025-2029

In accordance with Section 54 (5) of the Road Management Act 2004, Hindmarsh Shire Council gives notice that it has completed a review of its Road Management Plan. Following a 4-week period of public consultation, in which submissions were received, Council formally adopted the revised Road Management Plan 2025-2029 at its meeting on Wednesday 23 July 2025.
