NGV Kids on Tour 2026 at Hindmarsh Shire Libraries
Published on 05 January 2026
Hindmarsh Shire Libraries are excited to have been selected to participate in the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) Kids on Tour program in 2026.
Through FREE workshops and activities developed by NGV, in collaboration with leading artists and designers from around the world, and in partnership with local community venues and organisations, NGV Kids on Tour shares the joys and benefits of creativity, self-expression and art-making with children and families across Victoria over the summer holiday period.
Activities
This summer, Hindmarsh Shire Libraries will be hosting dedicated sessions celebrating the NGV exhibition “Let’s Party! Fashion for Kids”, designed by Danielle Brustman.
School hat, bike helmet, cricket cap, tiara, beret, fez! People wear hats for all sorts of reasons – to protect heads and faces, to dress up, to show belonging to a group, or as part of uniforms for work. At parties, some people wear special hats called party hats to celebrate and show their party spirit. In these sessions, participants get to decorate and then wear their own party hat.
Let’s Party creative sessions will be held at the following locations:
