Wimmera River Discovery Trail - Horse and Dog Information

The Wimmera River Discovery Trail is a great place to ride your horse or take you dog for a walk. Please note the important information below.

• Dogs – to be kept to public sections of the trail only and MUST be on leads the whole time, they cannot pass through the private land section of the trail due to the farmer potentially having sheep in the paddock. Due to proximity to houses and wildlife in the evenings, dogs must be on a short lead if camping overnight at Antwerp and must always be under the control of the owner.

• Horses – to be kept to public sections of the trail only and cannot pass through the private land sections of the trail or ride on the formed section of tracks. Ride at own risk and be aware of surrounds as part of the trail is on tracks utilised by 4wd and motorbikes.
