For Simon, making art is essentially a celebration of life, a way of expanding the dimensions of his every day and a means of deepening the mystery. It allows him to create a rich inner world, a mysterious beauty, a darkness and the strangeness of identity and memory. He is particularly interested in mask and many of my works are arenas for an internal theatre of the mind.
