Hindmarsh Shire Council will be accepting green waste disposal at Transfer Stations free of charge throughout October 2026. This is an opportunity to tidy up your properties in the lead up to summer.

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, the Albacutya Bridge construction project is on hold until restrictions are lifted for construction workers, who are now unable to travel from metropolitan areas into regional areas.
Hindmarsh Shire Mayor, Cr Ron Ismay said “whilst the delays are disappointing, it is yet another reminder as to the importance of getting vaccinated so that community projects can be completed in a timely and safe manner and reduce the COVID-19 exposure risk to our Hindmarsh Shire residents”.
