Council’s All New Website featuring Visit Hindmarsh is Live

Hindmarsh Shire Council is excited to announce the launch of its all-new website, including merging the formerly separate Visit Hindmarsh page onto the Hindmarsh Shire platform.
The new website is still accessible by using its existing URL www.hindmarsh.vic.gov.au. Creating the new website has allowed the website to be made more user-friendly, easier to navigate and to include features that the previous website did not allow for. The update will mean that both current and prospective residents, as well as tourists and visitors, will easily be able to access the information and services that they need.
The new Hindmarsh Shire website features a more user-friendly home page, an events listing page, updated information and new content, improved search functions, a new structure and an integrated Visit Hindmarsh area. The tourism and visitor focused pages will still be directly accessible from www.visithindmarsh.com.au, however the existing site will eventually become obsolete and viewers will be automatically redirected to the new website. The new Visit Hindmarsh section includes updates of all the information on the previous site in a more visual, easy to navigate way to inspire visitors to discover more about our attractions and services.
From the home page, you will be able to easily access commonly visited pages with the click of a button, and you can easily view upcoming events, latest news and current public notices and advertisements. The ‘search’ function has been upgraded, allowing you to easily find information about services, events and resources by searching for keywords. This will be helpful as you get used to the changes we’ve made in the website structure.
We also understand that the way the community accesses information is changing and the new Hindmarsh Shire website will be easier to use on mobile devices.

We hope that the new layout and mobile user-friendly format is easy to navigate for those community members that like to find information online.”
Council encourages everyone to have a look at the new website and to keep an eye on Council’s Facebook Page, www.facebook.com/hindmarshshirecouncil, over the coming weeks as we will share information and tips on the new features of the website that you can utilise.
