The Minister will remotely open our Nhill Library refurbishment during the Jeparit Library opening. Hindmarsh Shire Libraries are pleased to invite members of the public to attend these official openings.

Hindmarsh Shire Council Mayor, Cr Melanie Albrecht said, “Council is proud to host the official opening of these libraries. Hindmarsh libraries have not only seen a physical transformation but are continuing to evolve to meet community needs, with the scope of services they offer.”

Our new Library and Customer Service Centres in Jeparit, Rainbow & Nhill are more than just spaces to pay bills or borrow books – the library space goes well beyond bills and books and have been designed with the community in mind. Not only are libraries places for learning and discovery, libraries bring people together. Hindmarsh Shire Libraries offer access to a range of items including books, DVD’s, e-resources including movies and the community also have access to free public Wi-Fi and computers. Hindmarsh Shire Libraries have received several grants from the State Government that have allowed us to offer safe spaces for social interaction, digital & social connection and lifelong learning.
