Despite the cold weather, the Fire Danger period will soon be upon us. Gardeners will be keen to tidy up their properties once the weather warms up.
This year, Hindmarsh Shire Council has declared a “Free Green Waste” period, spanning over September & October 2023.
To beautify townships and minimise fire risk, Council encourages residents to clean up properties and help those who need assistance to dispose of their green waste. Green waste can be deposited free of charge at any Hindmarsh Shire transfer station during normal operating hours between Saturday 16 September and Sunday 15 October 2023 inclusive.
