Hindmarsh Shire Council joins Western Victorian Careers Expo

Hindmarsh Shire Council joined dozens of exhibitors on Tuesday 23 June 2026 at the Western Victorian Careers Expo. Students from across the region converged at the Wimmera Events Centre to explore a huge range of future pathways, including universities, TAFEs, employment and volunteering opportunities.
Local government may not always be the first career pathway young people consider, which made it especially valuable for our team to connect with students at the Expo. From immediate employment opportunities, such as lifeguarding at local swimming pools, through to traineeships and future careers in engineering, town planning, mechanics and more, the event provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase the diverse range of employment pathways available at Hindmarsh Shire Council.
