Hindmarsh Shire Libraries is excited to launch two new programs in August – The Creation Station and Rainbow Crochet Corner.

The Creation Station is our new after school program for kids aged 10+ and is launching in the Dimboola Library on Wednesday 13 August 2025. It’s a crafty, creative program with sessions running every second Wednesday from 3:30pm – 4:30pm. Facilitated by our librarian Jo, these sessions will see participants using their imagination and working on projects that span the entire month.

After several requests from our library community, we have established a time and space for local Rainbow crafters to meet and work on their knitting or crochet projects!

The Rainbow Crochet Corner is an opportunity to meet and have a yarn with other yarners on a weekly basis. Utilising the library space, with tea, coffee and hot chocolate supplied, pop down to the Rainbow Library on Fridays from 9:30am for some dedicated craft time. Our first session kicks off on Friday 8 August 2025.

Upcoming dates and times for these two new programs, as well as other library in-house and outreach programs such as Storytime, Get Creative, Kids Craft Club and Book Chat are listed in the events section of the Hindmarsh Shire Council website – www.hindmarsh.vic.gov.au/up-coming-events.
