Launch of New Hindmarsh Business and Community Directories

Hindmarsh Shire Council is excited to announce that it has launched a new Community and Business Directory on its website, powered by MyCity.
What is MyCity?
MyCity is a community directory platform designed to connect residents with local groups, clubs, businesses, and community services. Offered by Hindmarsh Shire Council, this service includes a free directory listing for businesses, community groups, and local organisations and the opportunity to promote events.
MyCity can be used by organisations and groups wishing to:
- Create and maintain a Community Directory listing
- Create and maintain a Business Directory listing
- Submit an event for promotion on Council’s website (crossing over into Council’s newsletters and social media)
What is the Business Directory?
The Business Directory is your go-to guide for discovering and connecting with local businesses and services.
Whether you're a business looking for local suppliers, a resident searching for trusted local services, or a visitor exploring what is available locally, the Hindmarsh Shire Business Directory will make it easier to support and find businesses close to home.

The Community Directory is your go-to guide for discovering and connecting with local clubs, organisations and community services.
Whether you're a new to the area, a resident searching for local group contact numbers, or a visitor exploring what is available locally, the Hindmarsh Shire Community Directory will make it easier to find what you are looking for and get in contact with them.

How to List your Business and Community Group
If you have a business that operates in Hindmarsh Shire or services the region, or if you have a club, organisation, or community service based in Hindmarsh Shire, you are encouraged to list your business and/or community group on these directories.
You can do this by visiting www.hindmarsh.vic.gov.au/MyCity, creating an account and submitting a Community or Business listing.
All listings are subject to final approval by Council staff. Once your listing has been approved by a Council officer, it will be visible on the directory pages located on Council’s website.
You can also use the MyCity portal to advertise your event on Council’s website.
