Temporary Changes to Transfer Station Hours for Summer 2025/2026

Hindmarsh Shire Council is modifying the operating hours for all transfer stations in the municipality during the summer period to ensure the safety of both staff and the public.

From Monday 01 December 2025 through until Saturday 28 February 2026, all transfer stations will be open from 9am to 12noon operating on the following schedule:

This adjustment is a proactive measure to minimise fire risk during the hottest part of the day. Council's standard operating hours will resume on Sunday 01 March 2026.

Please be aware that all transfer stations will also be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day public holidays.

Additionally, transfer stations will be closed on any day with a catastrophic fire danger rating.
