Extended Hours:
Council will endeavour to extend pool opening hours when the temperature is predicted to be over 30 degrees at the usual time of closing.
Council will review the forecast temperature and publish anticipated extended opening hours on Hindmarsh Outdoor Pools Facebook page prior to 12pm. Any changes or cancellation of extended hours will be published on Facebook as soon as practicable.
If there is insufficient demand or staffing unavailability on any given day, we will publish this information on our Hindmarsh Outdoor Pools Facebook page. For any anticipated use in extended hours periods, we advise users to call Council to confirm opening hours for that day. Minimum Opening Temperature:
If the maximum forecast temperature is below 25ºc at the Rainbow Weather station as per the Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, the facility may be closed at the manager’s discretion.
If individual towns are forecast to have temperatures below 25ºc during the opening period (as per the Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology), the facility may still be closed at the Manager’s discretion, even where the Rainbow forecast exceeds 25ºc. Council will publish closures on the Hindmarsh Outdoor Pools Facebook page.
