Canteens will not be operating but staff will have icy-poles available for a small donation. Community members and visitors are encouraged to support local businesses and BYO refreshments (no glass) to the pool. Consumption and/or the taking of alcohol into swimming pools or grounds is strictly prohibited, as is smoking and vaping.

Children under 10 must be supervised by a parent, and children younger than six require a parent within arm’s reach. All parents, guardians and carers must comply with Council's policies.

Extended Hours:
Council will endeavour to extend pool opening hours when the temperature is predicted to be over 30 degrees at the usual time of closing.

Council will review temperature predictions and publish anticipated extended opening hours on Facebook prior to 12pm and will also publish any changes or cancellation to extended hours on Facebook in real time.

If there is inadequate demand or staffing unavailability on any given day, we will publish this information on our Hindmarsh Outdoor Pools Facebook page. For any anticipated use in extended hours periods, we advise users to call Council to confirm opening hours for that day. Minimum Opening Temperature:
If the maximum forecast temperature is predicted to be below 24ºc at the Rainbow Weather station as per the Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, the facility may be closed at the manager’s discretion.
