Hindmarsh Round Two Business Assistance Grants Awarded

At its meeting on Wednesday 1 March 2023, Hindmarsh Shire Council awarded two local businesses with grants from the second round of the Business Assistance Grants program for the 2022/2023 financial year.
The Business Assistance Grants program consists of two categories;
- Streetscapes which allows businesses to apply for up to $3,000 to improve the exterior façade of their building.
- Business Development offers funding for businesses of up to $2,000 to support the establishment of new and innovative businesses that increase diversity of the Shire’s business community and provide the potential for local residents to start new businesses.
Streetscapes successful applicants included:
- Shalom Hair Salon who received $790.70 towards improving the signage at Shalom Hair Salon so that people are aware there is a hairdresser further down the street. This will include new signage, flags and banners in front of the building.
Business Development successful applicants included:
- West Wimmera Health Service who received $2,000 to help towards the purchase of indoor and outdoor play equipment and furniture for the Positive Parenting Centre being relocated from Emerge Early Years Centre to a West Wimmera Health Service residential property at 79 Victoria Street, Nhill. They would like to provide a home-like environment for families to feel comfortable while accessing the program/service.
