Hindmarsh Shire Council’s Annual Statutory Meeting was held on Wednesday 12 November 2025 from 6:00pm at the Council Chambers in Nhill.
During the meeting, Council noted Cr Ron Ismay’s Mayoral Report for 2024/2025, reflecting on what Council has achieved for the first year of the 2024-2028 term.
Cr Ron Ismay was elected Mayor for the coming 12 months with Cr Rosie Barker being elected as Deputy Mayor for the same period.
Cr Ismay, Mayor, responded, saying “I thank Councillors and the community for their support over the previous year, and look forward to serving another term and working with Cr Barker as Deputy Mayor. With a new Council Plan, there is much to achieve, and I look forward to seeing a number of fantastic community projects coming to fruition.”
Council also appointed delegates to Council Advisory Committees, Community Asset Committees, and external organisations.
