At the Hindmarsh Shire Council meeting held on Wednesday 29 October 2025, eight businesses were awarded Business Assistance Grants as part of round one of the 2025/2026 grants program.
The Business Assistance Grant Program was established in 2016 to generate new employment opportunities, support existing business growth and to attract new business to Hindmarsh Shire.
Council allocated $20,000 towards the 2025/2026 Business Assistance Grants Program, with grants awarded in two streams:
Six businesses were successful in applying for Streetscape funding including:
Two businesses successfully applied for Business Development funding including:
All successful applicants are also co-contributing to these projects.
Hindmarsh Shire Council Mayor, Cr Ron Ismay congratulated all applicants and said, “It is great to see continued strong and innovative projects applying for assistance through this Business Assistance Grants program. Businesses play such an important role in servicing the local community, attracting visitation and giving people who pass through our town a warm and welcoming experience.”
