Pink Lake is one of Victoria's great natural wonders. Situated 6km north-west of Dimboola along the Western Highway, the Pink Lake gets its vibrant colour from a salt tolerant alga living in the salt crust. Take the time to pull into the parking area and make the short walk down to the lake’s edge.

Just a 10 minute drive north of Dimboola is the Arkona Silo Art. Part of the world renowned Silo Art Trail, this unique artwork was completed in 2022 by legendary mural and silo artist Smug. The silo pays tribute to local tennis legend Roly Klinge who was a tireless advocate and coach for many young tennis players in Arkona and Dimboola. During his stay in Dimboola he also painted a mural along an alleyway at the rear of the Dimboola Library. After visiting Arkona, continue along the Dimboola-Rainbow Road through Jeparit to visit the Rainbow Silo Art and Albacutya Silo Art.

Cycling and Walking
The traditional name for this area is Watchegatcheca meaning 'Wattle tree and White Cockatoos'. Barringgi Gadyin (Wimmera River) flows through the town on its way to Gurru (Lake Hindmarsh) providing a life blood of resources, creation stories, cultural sites and trading routes for the First Nations People. A great way to experience this is walking parts of the Wimmera River Discovery Trail. During the 2nd half the 1800s the Chinese established market gardens in Dimboola originally as part of the Gold Escort Route providing vegetables for people as they moved between the South Australian and Victorian Goldfields. Today, Dimboola hosts murals, galleries and a pottery that reflect and capture the unique heritage and connection to the local area.
