Four Mile Beach Campground Reopened

Four Mile Beach Campground, located within the Lake Hindmarsh Reserve, has reopened following a temporary closure throughout May 2026 to undertake maintenance.

Hindmarsh Shire Council closed the campground from 1 May 2026 to complete electrical and plumbing works and to install updated signage outlining conditions of use.

Climate Adaption Strategy Update

Council adopted the Climate Adaption Strategy 2024-2036 in August 2024 to strengthen community resilience and prepare for projected climate change impacts. At the Council meeting held on Wednesday 3 June 2026, a report was presented providing an update on progress to May 2026.
