Upcoming Hindmarsh Tourism and Business Forum

Hindmarsh Shire Council will be hosting a Tourism and Business Forum at the Antwerp Hall on Sunday 14 September 2025. The forum will commence from 12noon with a light lunch being provided, followed by presentations commencing at 12:30pm.

During the Business and Tourism Forum presentations attendees will hear from the following guest speakers:

• Grampians Wimmera Mallee Tourism will give an overview of the marketing and promotional activities that were undertaken in the first twelve months of the new visitor economy partnership, future planned promotions and how businesses can tap into broader marketing support.
  Initial feedback from the current visiting friends and relative campaign, ‘YOU’, will also be discussed.
  
  
• Council’s Economic Development & Tourism team will give updates on local activities and Council involvement in the Business-Friendly Councils program, what support Council can offer existing and prospective businesses, as well as how the region can attract new ‘tree change’ operators to the Shire.

With tourism numbers fluctuating after recent fires, and current cost of living impacts becoming more obvious, it is now more important than ever for all parts of our business community to work together. 

The Wimmera River Discovery Trail opening will follow the Tourism and Business Forum and will be commencing at 2:30pm.
