W Caldwell had his fruit, lollies and soft drink shop on this site. This was next door to the original Pearce Bros. store.

It claimed the first soda fountain, an Eckersly, in the town. The double barrelled fountain stood on the counter and on the shelf behind stood approximately twenty standard bottles complete with fancy labels indicating the different flavoured syrups contained within. The soda water and syrup was chilled in pipes that ran through blocks of ice.

Silvia McDougall and Stella Wall were employed and after hours and weekends was a boy H.J. Gloury.

Other owners were Rex Perry, Corrie Schulze and F Music before finally closing down.
